Book Your First AppointmentWelcome to True Health Chiropractic.
We’re Glad You’re Here.
Whether you are coming to us with a specific injury, chronic pain you have been managing for years, or a desire to invest in your long-term health, you are in the right place. True Health Chiropractic is a two-location practice serving the Livonia and Romulus communities, and we have built our care model around one idea: every patient deserves a real diagnosis, a real plan, and a team that actually follows through.
Your first experience with us is not a rushed intake. It is the beginning of a relationship. We take the time to understand what is happening in your body, explain it in terms that make sense, and build a care plan that is specific to you. We do not ask you to trust us before we have earned it. We earn it by being thorough, honest, and genuinely invested in your outcome.
We are currently accepting new patients at both our Livonia and Romulus locations. Livonia is our primary clinic and our preferred first-visit location for new patients coming from the surrounding area.
What Happens From Your First Call to Your Care Plan
We designed every step of the new patient experience to be straightforward, supportive, and personal. Here is exactly what to expect.
Step 1 - Schedule Your Appointment
Contact us by phone or online to book your first visit. Our front desk team will get you scheduled and confirm your appointment right away. You can reach our Livonia office at 734-261-2121 or our Romulus office at 734-941-2211.
Step 2 - We Verify Your Insurance and Send Your Intake Forms
Before your visit, we verify your insurance benefits so you know exactly what to expect. We will send you a link to complete your intake forms digitally and upload any relevant documents such as prior imaging reports or insurance cards. Everything can be done from your phone or computer at your convenience.
Step 3 - Your Patient Experience Coordinator Reaches Out
Before your appointment, a member of our patient experience team will contact you personally to go over your verified benefits, answer any questions you have, and make sure you feel prepared and at ease before you even arrive. We believe the experience starts before you walk through our door.
Step 4 - Office Tour and Consultation With Your Doctor
When you arrive, you will receive a tour of our office so you know where everything is and feel comfortable in the space. You will then sit down with your doctor for a thorough consultation. We want to hear your full history, understand your goals, and get a clear picture of what has brought you in.
Step 5 - Detailed Examination and X-Rays When Appropriate
If we believe we can help you, we move into a detailed physical examination. We assess your posture, range of motion, neurological function, and the specific areas of concern from your consultation. X-rays are taken on-site when they would add clinical value to your assessment.
Step 6 - Your Report of Findings
This is where most clinics fall short and where we do things differently. We deliver a full Report of Findings that walks you through exactly what we found, what is causing your problem, and what we recommend. You will leave this conversation with real answers, not vague reassurances. We explain everything in clear, plain language and give you the opportunity to ask questions.
Step 7 - Treatment May Begin the Same Day
When it is appropriate, we will begin your first treatment on the same day as your examination. We want to start making progress for you as quickly as possible, not ask you to come back for a separate visit.
Step 8 - Schedule Your Care Plan
After your first treatment, you will connect with our front desk to schedule your full care plan. Your plan is structured around your specific diagnosis and goals, with clear visit recommendations and milestones so you always know where you stand.
Step 9 - We Follow Up With You
Within 24 hours of your first treatment, you will receive a follow-up text or call from our team to check in on how you are feeling. This is not a formality. It is part of how we care for our patients and how we make sure your plan is off to the right start.
How to Prepare for Your First Appointment
We make the process as easy as possible. Your intake forms are sent digitally before your visit, so you will not spend your appointment filling out paperwork. Here is what to bring on the day.
- Your insurance card: even if we have already verified your benefits, having it on hand is helpful
- A valid photo ID: for our records
- Any relevant imaging or reports: MRI, X-ray, or CT scan results if you have them (you can also upload these through the link we send before your visit)
- A list of current medications or supplements: if applicable
- Comfortable clothing: particularly if we may be examining your spine or affected area
Your intake forms will be sent to you digitally after booking. Completing them before your visit helps us make the most of your time in the office.
Insurance We Accept
We work with most major insurance providers and are committed to making your care as accessible as possible. Our team verifies your specific benefits before your first visit so you know exactly what your plan covers and what to expect financially.
Insurance Plans We Accept
- Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
- Humana
- Aetna
- United Healthcare
- Priority Health
- Medicare
- Auto Accident Coverage
Do not see your plan listed? Contact us directly and our billing team will confirm whether we can work with your provider. We do our best to accommodate every patient.
What About Costs?
After verifying your benefits, your patient experience coordinator will walk you through what your insurance covers, what your co-pay or deductible looks like, and what, if anything, would be your responsibility before your first visit. There are no surprise bills and no pressure. We believe informed patients make better decisions and have better outcomes.
What Makes Starting Care Here Different
A lot of clinics accept new patients. Far fewer of them make the experience of becoming a new patient something that actually builds trust. Here is what you will notice from your very first interaction with our team.
We Do Not Rush You
Your consultation and examination are thorough because they need to be. We cannot build a plan that works without understanding what is actually wrong. We schedule your first visit with enough time to do it properly.
We Give You Real Answers
The Report of Findings is not a formality. It is a genuine explanation of your clinical picture, delivered in language you can understand. You will know what is wrong, why it is wrong, and what we believe it will take to fix it before we ask you to commit to anything.
Your Plan Is Built Around You
We offer everything from gentle, light-touch, no-force adjusting to traditional manual techniques, and we choose the approach based on your body, your history, and your goals. No protocols applied to everyone. No one-size-fits-all care.
We Have the Full Toolkit
Chiropractic care, massage therapy, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, nutritional counseling, and infrared sauna at our Livonia location. Having this range of services under one roof means your care plan can address your problem from multiple angles without sending you to multiple providers.
We Follow Through
We follow up after your first treatment. We track your progress. We adjust your plan when your needs change. The relationship we build with you is long-term by design.
What Our Patients Are Saying
Your first visit typically runs 45 minutes to an hour. It includes your consultation with the doctor and, if we believe we can help you, a detailed examination. X-rays may be taken on the same visit. We allow enough time to do this properly rather than rushing through it.
No referral is required. You can contact us directly to schedule your first appointment.
In many cases, yes. When it is clinically appropriate, we begin treatment the same day as your examination. Your doctor will let you know what is right for your situation.
The Report of Findings is a dedicated part of your first visit where your doctor sits down with you and explains in full detail what was found during your examination. We explain what is causing your problem, what we recommend, and why. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision about your care before committing to anything.
Absolutely. Many of our patients are first-time chiropractic patients. We take extra care to explain what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what to expect at every step. You will never be adjusted or treated without understanding what is happening first.
That is completely understandable, and it is something we hear often. We offer a full range of techniques including very gentle, no-force options that do not involve any of the cracking or popping that some patients are concerned about. Your comfort level matters and we build your care around it.
Yes. We offer pediatric chiropractic care using techniques specifically suited to younger patients. Children respond very well to chiropractic care, and addressing spinal concerns early can have meaningful long-term benefits.
Yes. We offer prenatal chiropractic care, including the Webster Technique, which supports pelvic alignment during pregnancy. Our approach is safe, comfortable, and adapted specifically for expectant mothers.
After your treatment, you schedule your care plan with our front desk. Within 24 hours, you will receive a follow-up text or call from our team to check in on how you are feeling and answer any questions that came up after your visit.
Yes. You can book online through our scheduling link or call either location directly. Our Livonia office is at 734-261-2121 and our Romulus office is at 734-941-2211.
