I first started seeing Dr. Shaft in high school. I was having some problems with my lower back and sacral area and being a student athlete it was important to be able to move and function pain free. I have since been seeing Dr. Shaft on and off through the years. Last year I got into a car accident where my car was totaled and I had severe neck and back pain. For the past year both Dr. Shaft and Dr. Dockery have been nothing short of amazing with helping me with adjustements, home exercises, and trigger point therapy. I can definitely tell when I go too long between appointments and feel so much better after leaving their office. The whole staff is very nice and knowledgeable. I look forward to using True Health for the years to come.

The people here are wonderful and extremely helpful! Regardless of your insurance, they work well with you. There are no long wait times and rescheduling is really easy. I highly recommend this office.

I was a chiropractor skeptic until my daughter who had been suffering with pain for months could not find answers from other docs. This office was recommended to us and she found relief in about 3 weeks after seeing Dr Shaft and Dr Dockery. These doctors care so much about each patient that walks through the door. They never gave up on my girl as so many had before. I highly recommend this office. And I am no longer a skeptic. I’m a believer.

Dr. Dockery was a life changer throughout my entire pregnancy. I had so much discomfort and every time I would call for an appointment, they were so helpful and able to get me in on weekends to get adjusted. I went into labor with little discomfort and a much easier delivery than my first pregnancy thanks to him! I believe that he is his patients best interest at heart with the amount of time he dedicates to them. My entire family, including our 4 year old look forward to visits and are so excited we are able to go somewhere close and also flexible as often as needed. Thanks for making things easier for all of us and investing the time you do to make us better :).

Dr. Shaft has been a huge help for my 13 year old’s headaches. After only two weeks, we’ve noticed minimal to no headaches at all. He’s very thorough, patient, dedicated, and attentive to your needs. He’s also been able to effectively heal my back pain as well only over a short amount of time. Kim, in the front office, is cheerful, welcoming, and always willing to help with appointments and paperwork.

I have been sick for years. Doctors have diagnosed me with fibromyalgia, thyroid and gallbladder problems. I couldn’t sleep a full night because my hands and arms were numb and my body was just in complete pain all the time. I have steadily gained 30 pounds in the last year and a half. I was amazed with the amount of attention I received. He asked a lot of good questions, and instantly I knew he really cared and was looking at all my symptoms differently then other doctors did. He was looking for the source of the problem and was not going to just fix my symptoms. The next visit, two days later he went over everything with me in great detail and gave it to me in writing. He did an adjustment and I went home sore that day, but as a result I slept all night for the first time in years. I am so thankful for his passion and willingness to help me get life back.

I hurt my back at work and went to my doctor first to see if there was anything they could do. They gave me perscription painkillers and muscle relaxers that did nothing for me and sent me on my way with the bill. I was nervous at first to go to a chiropractor, but this experience completely changed me. Not only did my lower back pain go away, but my sciatic pain did as well! The staff is amazing, especially Dr. Dockery! I recommend this office to everyone and anyone with back issues!

The name of this clinic is quite accurate because Dr Shaft is the TRUTH! I was having excruciating neck pain since August of 2018. I tried everything from physical therapy to steroid injections. NOTHING worked! I decided to try Chiropractic treatment in January 2019. I was in a state of depression because I thought I would never get better. Dr. Shaft assured me that he could help me. He told me that it would take a few visits but I would eventually feel relief. I was skeptical after the 5th visit as I was still in pain! I was really discouraged at this point. Dr. Shaft assured me that he had helped people who were worse off than me. I continued my treatments and after the 9th visit.. I was PAIN FREE!! I was ESTATIC!! I highly recommend Dr Shaft. He and his staff are AWESOME!!

I fell and injured my back in 2013 and was in excruciating pain😖. I never really thought about going to a chiropractor but this winter I just couldn’t take the pain anymore. I wanted to rip my spine out of my back. The ibuprofen I had wasn’t really working and I didn’t really want anything stronger. I was looking for anything that might help me and decided to try this clinic out. I’m glad I did. When I walked into the clinic I literally couldn’t stand straight. I couldn’t exercise. I was in tears when I was cleaning the house. Sitting all day at work just made everything worse. Falling asleep was even difficult because of the pain. If you have back pain I recommend going to a chiropractor and if you are near Romulus highly recommend this clinic. Pain killers may mask the issue but getting adjustment will actually relive pain. An adjustment feels absolutely heavenly. After a few visits I was able to incorporate light exercise back into my live. With a the adjustments, light exercise and sleeping on the floor I have been pain free for months. Today my back was feeling tense so I went in for a massage.

The staff and doctors here are so knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. From the very first time I walked in they made me feel comfortable! I came to them as a brand new patient recently. I had hurt my back and could barely walk. From that first adjustment my pain was nearly gone. Now a few weeks later and my back is just about good as new. I highly recommend True Health!

1st appointment got some x-rays. And an adjustment. Felt great after. Next appointment looked at my x-rays and got some insight as to what has been causing my pain. Got adjusted 2 times after that and feel even better with each adjustment. The staff are awesome. The doctors are great. I am looking forward to each visit. Was under the care of another chiropractor and they didn’t catch what these folks did. I am so happy to be feeling better.

Was in a car accident not too long ago, neck and back were killing me, constant headaches. I've only been here a cpl times and my headaches are gone and my neck and back are feeling so much better. Ive also gotten two massages here and they were amazing. I also wanna say how awesome the staff is. Everyone is so nice and informative, I feel very comfortable with everyone here.

So I have had a horrible back since I was 19. I have seen Chiropractors, surgeons (but chose not to have surgery because I am only 33), I have had Physical Therapy, Water Therapy, Shots in my back, Epidurals in my back, my nerves burned, and I have taken plenty of pain pills, and muscle through the years. I have been seeing Doctor Shaft for almost 3 years and I swear to God since I have seen him I have stopped taking pain pills, stopped taking muscle relaxers, I haven't seen a doctor for my back in almost 3 years. Doctor Shaft is a miracle worker! He is absolutely amazing and he will 100% take his time with you. I have never felt better and I have never felt so safe in a Chiropractors hands! He comes from a long line of Chiropractors in his family. If you want your life back, go see this man, you will NOT regret it!!! Thank you Doctor Shaft, I could never ever thank you enough!!!!

Dr. Shaft is an astounding and knowledgeable chiropractor. He treats his patients not only physically, but can offer assistance with diet and over all health issues. I was able to feel better within a few sessions. I went from barely able to walk and terrible pain. Dr Shaft was able to get rid of my walker in 1 session and my cane by the 3 session. His therapy works!!! Thank you, Monika

I have been going to True Health for about a month now and have been happy with the results so far. I have RA and a lot of injury to my spine from the years of playing hockey and needed some treatment. What I really am grateful for is having more energy because of having less pain and I can actually turn my neck to the side instead of having to turn my whole body. Dr Shaft and the rest of the staff are super nice, I highly recommend them!

I decided to come to the chiropractor because I was having excruciating pain in my lower back and it hurt to lay down or walk. This is my first experience at a chiropractor and I have to say I am very pleased. After each visit my back has felt better and better. I must say this is the best I've felt in awhile. I am not one to write reviews, but I’ve got to take the time to write this one! First of, words cannot describe my gratitude to Dr. Shaft and his staff at True Health Chiropractic. I walked (almost crawled) into the office last Friday in so much pain. I couldn’t walk, sit, or even lay down without having severe pain in my low back. I called several other chiropractics in the area and they all said I had to wait until Monday to be seen. However, Diana (front desk) tried her best to fit me in the schedule so that I could be helped. Immediately after I was readjusted I felt relief! Right then and there I felt about a 50% improvement! I went back on Saturday and again on Monday. By the time I left the office on Monday I was already 90% better! I could go back to work and finally could hold my baby girl again! I want to publicly thank Dr. Shaft for his care, professionalism and awesome personality. I seriously don’t know what I would’ve done if I didn’t find True Health Chiropractic. So if you’re in pain, Don’t think twice, go see them now!

The healing you’re looking for!!! I could barely walk myself into the office for my first visit, I was in the worst back pain of my life. But I left with so much RELIEF, hope, and finally some answers! Dr. Shaft is absolutely amazing at what he does!! He explained my X-ray results so clearly to help me fully understand the cause of my pain. Ever since my first visit here I have been progressing beautifully on my healing journey! Diana at the front desk is also SO helpful and has an embracing personality. She was able to get me into my first appointment right away, which is what I NEEDED! Seeing a chiropractor is something I believe that every adult should do, and I strongly recommend you make your first appointment right away!💖

For years I had been dealing with chronic spinal, hip pain, and migraines and tried various types of pain relief, which were unsuccessful. I had thought of seeking out chiropractic care but unsure if this type if treatment would be helpful. Finding True Health has made a complete change in my daily living activities, sleep, and overall wellness in just a few visits. I have been going here for almost 20 yrs - couldn't ask for a more kind and caring pair of doctors and staff. Feels more like you are going to visit friends than it does going to the doctor. I just want to let people know who has back problems and think cant see a chiropractor, they can .. my fiend told me about this office and how nice they are and how they could help me. So I went and they seen me with no insurance and was affordable and worked with me. I couldn't believe how much better I felt after getting adjusted and he took xrays all on the same day. I would recommend them to anyone, they care about their patients and they are reasonable on prices. very affordable..

Dr. Shaft has been treating me for seven months. Before this, I lived with chronic lower back pain for the previous eight years. I used to take 10-12 ibuprofen per night sometimes with no relief. Since about a month in to treatment I have not needed to take ibuprofen at all. I can sit on the floor and play with my kids for extended periods of time with no pain. My treatment has truly improved my quality of life. The thing that sets Dr. Shaft apart from other doctors is his true passion for healthy living. From his commitment to healthy diet and exercise to his drive to treat the cause of your issues not just the symptoms. He is extremely knowledgeable and truly interested in helping in anyway he can.

True health chiropractic is amazing!!!! I never had chiropractic services before until I went to true health chiropractic services and it absolutely changed my life 😃 Dr. Shaft is truly blessed with the skills and the knowledge that he possesses to adjust your body properly. I was 44 years old when I first saw Dr. shaft and had major issues with a pinched nerve and problems with my neck. I thought At the time that the only option that I had was surgery to get rid of my pain, and my primary care doctor referred me to physical therapy which made my situation worse. However , I made the choice to get chiropractic help and that was the best choice I ever made. I was in so much pain before I started seeing Dr. Shaft. Once I started receiving treatment, I haven’t had any issues With neck pain or With a pinched nerve. Ironically , once I started treatment , I started to lose weight which was both shocking and amazing to me because I had been trying to lose weight for a long time & it was much easier for me to exercise and lose the weight that I needed to lose Once I started receiving my adjustments from Dr. Shaft. I feel great every day when I wake up and go to sleep now and I don’t have issues with neck pain or with a pinched nerve anymore . In fact after the first day of receiving treatment from Dr. Shaft, all my pain went away 😃 I definitely would recommend True Health Chiropractic services to anyone, it will change your life!!!

Thank you Dr Shaft! I brought in my 2 month old daughter because she was constantly turning her head to one side and would not do tummy time. He adjusted her just a few times so far and she is doing tummy time, holding her head up better and now sleeping through the night! So glad I brought her in!

When my back is hurting Dr.Legel is always able to fix it. I can’t thank him enough for bringing me relief when I need it most. Kim is the best at getting me in when my back is hurting, even on extremely short notice. Dr.Legel and Kim have gone out of their way to make my 5yr old son comfortable and safe when we come for our visits. Even when I’m in a grumpy mood Kim’s infectious laugh brings me up, these people genuinely care about their patients and want to make you feel better all the way around.

My children and I have been going to dr. Legel for 7 years. He was able to help my son with his asthma and he no longer has to be on any medication. We recently started seeing Dr. Shaft he has been wonderful to work with. Kim is always very pleasant when we come in the office. She always returns my calls promptly and is always accommodating when we need to switch an appointment or need a last minute appointment. We really enjoy coming to the office always a great experience.

I have scoliosis (I mean serious curvature). In 1983 I had 2 surgeries that have left me with major hardware in my back. Since that time I have lived with varying degrees of pain, discomfort, and stiffness. Over the past thirty years I have been discouraged from seeing a chiropractor by family doctors. I had even called a few chiropractors and explained my situation looking for some relief and was turned away. I had many doubts about finding help and was resigned that I would have to live a life with pain.November 2018 changed my thoughts, perceptions and most of all my pain! Dr. Shaft patiently answered all my questions, did a thorough evaluation and explained how he could help me. I have been seeing Dr Shaft for 5 weeks and am amazed at how great I feel! I feel taller, lighter, looser and am in so much less pain! If this is how I feel after one month, I am so excited to see how I will feel with consistent treatment. Dr Shaft is professional, patient, kind and truthful.

I had been seeing Dr. Shaft for several years in his Romulus office and was so excited when he opened this practice in Livonia. I have seen many chiropractors over the years and he is hand's down the best. I also bring both my children whenever they have back issues and he is great with them. A month ago I went to visit Dr. Shaft for the first time. I was a little skeptical that he could help me, but I was in enough back pain to try just about anything. After arriving at the Livonia office, I was greeted by smiling faces and a confident doctor who assured me he could help. After only two weeks, Dr. Shaft got me the pain relief I could not get from two rounds of physical therapy. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and arthritis at the age of 23. Suffering from slipped and degenerated disc in my back and pinched nerves in my neck and back, I was willing to take ANY advice on what to do or who to see to relieve my constant pain. I started coming to Legel and Shaft by referral and haven't felt this good in 13 years. The constant pressure on my back and pain throughout my body have subsided. Of course, I deal with some pain here and there from over activity. However, after only several weeks of adjustments, my quality of life has changed drastically. Dr. Shaft came highly recommended by several of my coworkers and I now understand why. I have been seeing him for three weeks and am so happy with my treatment plan and progress. He takes time to review your specific needs and explain the details to you. My pain level has noticeably decreased and my overall well being has improved. Best chiropractic care in the area hands down . i have been to different chiropractors throughout my life and the doctors here are great and have helped me through various aliments. The staff (Jess and Kim) are amazing and extremely nice and helpful. My kids and I have been coming here for many many years and they treat us like family. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for chiropractic care.

We appreciate both Dr. Shaft and Dr. Lee so much! With four active kids, this office is our first stop when someone is feeling under the weather or gets an injury. From allergies to asthma, from sprained ankle to hurt knee to just needing an immune boost, all our issues receive great care and attention. Regular visits help us stay at our best. The friendly office staff is flexible with us and takes care of us, too. Highly recommend this practice for all ages!

Excellent atmosphere that starts with the wonderful ladies at the front desk! I have been adjusted by Dr. Shaft and Dr. Lee and have the utmost confidence in both of them, I feel great every time I leave the office. Also, Tracey is excellent at deep tissue massage. Tracey has worked out many kinks in my legs!Overall, one of the best Chiropractic offices in the area.

Cannot say enough positive things! It doesn't take long to see how much Dr. Shaft truly cares about patient wellbeing. He effortlessly makes you feel like part of his family. Hands down the best chiropractor I've been to in the Detroit Metropolitan and surrounding areas! Was having severe neck pains out of the blue one day to the point where I couldn't bend my neck the slightest or even look around. Within my first few adjustments I was able to get back to work almost as good as new! After a couple more adjustments the following week I felt better than ever! 🙏 I went to two of their locations and the staff between both were phenomenal and well communicated between one another! Very LGBTQ friendly (was starting my transition at the time) and helpful as well! I even ended up moving out of state while still having multiple unused visits from the package I purchased and they were very cooperative making sure I got the money I was owed back. Absolutely nothing bad to say about their company, staff, or practices! Highly recommended!

My daughter and I both see Dr. Shaft. My daughter has scoliosis and HAD a pretty severe curve. Dr. Shaft straightened her out and lessened her back pain and mine. We go once or twice a month to keep our immune strong. Dr. Shaft is also very knowledgeable about supplements so we ask his advice quite often. All the girls at the office are friendly and super helpful too. We love True Health Chiropractic!!

I was referred to Dr. Shaft 10+ years ago by a fellow hockey parent because of serious lower back pain caused by a herniated disc. Best decision ever!!! He should actually have before and after video's of me for advertising. My wife literally had to help me into the office the last time I threw my back out. Dr. Shaft had me back on the golf course a week later after 4 visits. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I started going because of back pain, and had been in a car accident. I have been seeing Dr. Shaft for a while and I consider chiropractic care as a healthcare necessity. He is very good. My husband has been going for about as long as I have and is very happy with him.

After PT failed alleviating my pain from a car accident, I gave Dr. Shaft a try and they have been exceptional in my recovery. I came to know them through my wife who also got relief after visiting them. Their staff cares (great customer service), their massages and exercise combined with their chiropractor care have helped me tremendously. Very blessed that we found them. Dr. Shaft is amazing. My kids and I all see him for a wide range of issues and he has been able to treat these issues as well as teach us how to make corrections at home as well. The staff is extremely professional and welcoming. My only regret is not going sooner.Highly recommend!

Dr.Shaft & Dr.Walker are thorough professionals who took time to listen to my concerns and addressed them appropriately. After multiple adjustments, my shoulder soreness has gotten much better. Diana & Tracy (massage tech) are just awesome! Highly recommend them. PS: Arthur (office pet) is my best buddy.

In the past, I've had some bad experiences with chiropractors causing me more harm than good and was very skeptical about returning to chiropractic care.After much coaxing from my husband, who is treated by Dr Shaft and, by the way, has improved significantly, I made an appointment. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Dr Shaft listened to my concerns and developed a plan taking those concerns into account. His treatments are gentle yet effective and I look forward to continuing treatment until I reach goal and maintenance.

Dr. Shaft is great! Every monthly adjustment is always effective and brings relief. Even more importantly, he knows how to effectively adjust the neck to prevent vertigo attacks. I've been going to him for years, and he is the best chiropractor I've ever been to. He is also very knowledgeable about nuitrition and supplements to treat other health issues naturally. I highly recommend him.
